Boston, MA, 1 April 2026 – FCLTGlobal, a non-profit organization whose mission is to mobilize companies and investors to focus capital on the long term to create lasting value, announced today that Clara Chan, CEO of the Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (“HKIC”) – the flagship patient capital institution wholly owned by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has joined its Board of Directors.
FCLTGlobal was founded in 2016 to develop actionable research and tools to drive long-term value creation for savers and communities. Its members, comprised of the world’s leading companies and investment organizations, contribute to research initiatives and programs that promote long-term strategies for companies and investors worldwide.
“Clara brings deep experience and thoughtful leadership that will strengthen our work to promote longer-term decision-making,” said Sarah Keohane Williamson, CEO of FCLTGlobal. “We are very pleased to welcome her to the board and look forward to the insight she will bring as we advance our mission.”
“Our mission as patient capital is to invest for Hong Kong over a long-term horizon, pursuing not just financial return but also lasting strategic values with impacts across generations and potentially around the world. This dual mandate is deeply consonant with the principles that FCLTGlobal advocates for – a shared vision for how long-term capital can bring benefits to the future,” said Chan. “I look forward to contributing our experience in bridging public and private capital to this community of leaders who are driving real change in how capital is deployed to high-growth and high-impact sectors and how businesses make decisions.”
Clara brings over a decade of senior leadership experience in investment, with a career spanning financial services, public policy and law. A barrister admitted by the High Court of Hong Kong, she has been recognized for her leadership and influence in the finance industry. She was honored with the Asia Industry Leadership Award by the 100 Women in Finance in 2016, named to Private Equity International’s global “40 under 40” list in 2020, and subsequently featured among Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen in 2024 and Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Asia in 2025.
