FCLTGlobal is urging companies to move away from offering projections of short-term profits. Instead, they should adopt what FCLTGlobal calls “long-term roadmaps,” periodic reports on progress toward multi-year strategic targets: new products or markets, investment in technology, likely uses for excess cash and so forth. Investors could then more clearly track progress toward companies’ goals.
